My brother says that I must pay sales tax on the vehicle. I know I have to pay 6.25% tax when transferring the title to my name if I or the Department of Motor Vehicles. My question is, must also pay VAT on the purchase of the vehicle at Frost Bank. So in this case, the tax twice, once in Tranfering title and another brother Purchaseing car.My says you must pay taxes when I bought the car from the bank because the bank has the title. Is this true ????? Im sure that in order not to answer. This can buy a lot of money into the car by paying sales tax twice. Thank you for everything Anwers

No, you only pay taxes if you once the transfer of ownership.
ReplyDeleteAnd do not pull the old "I only paid $ 100 for this thing" to reduce the bill. Texas is the carrying amount of the tax.
In Texas, the buyer has to pay 6.25 percent of the presumption of value type of the car ... once. There would be no tax on the transfer of ownership imposed on whether the bank collected from you.
